Initially, this ring is dominated by a precious Colombian emerald (GRS certified) that also meets the highest requirements: 4.94 carats, emerald cut, deep emerald green, exceptional transparency for an emerald, and intense, vibrant fire. A gemstone of the highest quality that draws all eyes to it.
What distinguishes this emerald, however, is its minimal treatment. You should know that most emeralds on the market are treated with oil to fill emerald-typical inclusions and thus slightly improve their purity. Due to their crystal structure and growth conditions, inclusions are the rule for emeralds.
The intensity of the treatment is crucial for the value of emeralds. ‘Minor Oil’, as in the case of this emerald, refers to a minimal oiling, where only two or three small spots on the emerald were oiled. In other words, this emerald already possesses inherent incredible beauty.
Only an extremely small portion of all emeralds have this minimal treatment. Emeralds with the ‘minor’ predicate in this size and clarity are extremely difficult for us to find and are among the absolute top-class gemstones. This explains the high value of this exceptional emerald.
The color of the emerald is also noteworthy, being the finest green found among Colombian emeralds. Accordingly, this emerald has received the ‘Muzo Green’ / ‘vivid green’ predicate. The finest emeralds come from the Colombian Muzo mine, from which the name and thus the predicate are derived, which this emerald received during the gemological examination. This means its color is equal to that of the finest emeralds from the Muzo mine.
Of course, you will also receive the GRS expertise for this ring, which confirms all the aforementioned predicates (treatment and color) as well as all the essential specifications of the emerald.
